Snow Bunting, Short-eared Owl and more, Kent 23rd November 2008
I spent the day with Josh J Shaw. The two main sites that we visited were Leysdown on Sea (where all the below photos were taken) and Elmley Marshes RSPB (Short-eared Owl). Both were lifers for Josh and year ticks for me. A full report (with a video) is available on www.southeastbirding.com.
and we will get you joined up to the blog! Young birders are a rarity nowadays, so you should feel honoured if you have joined that you are part of one of the only communities of young birders in the world!
Rules: -If year listing in Britain, Go by BOU taxonomy, categories A, B and C countable but not others.
-If year listing in America, Go by ABA rules/taxonomy.
- To make it fairs on the Americans, everybody should follow the ABA rule that a bird in the hand is not countable unless seen 24 hours after release.
You can join in any time and any birders under the age of 21 can take part. If you're a keen lister or enjoying participating in competitions, then you should enjoy this!
